Staffordshire University is a public university in Staffordshire, England. It has one main campus based in the city of Stoke-on-Trent and three other campuses; in Stafford, Lichfield and Shrewsbury. It was founded in 1901 by the industrialist Alfred Bolton when he acquired the site on what is now known as College Road. The first classes started officially in 1906. Currently the University has many students studying overseas for Staffordshire University Awards in Belgium, China, Vietnam, France, Greece, India, Kosovo, Malaysia, Nigeria, Singapore, Spain and Sri Lanka.
