Team Principal, Oliver Larsen-Wright, said “The Virtual events were a good way for team members to remain engaged with the project and a format for students to feed their desire to compete. As a team we have learnt from the engineering-based events and even took home some podium positions in the Virtual Dynamic events.”
Staffs Uni Racing achieved their best score on the design judging aspects this year, showing the team is serious about growing its technical ability both on and off the circuit.
Oliver continued “The feedback from the judges is a real motivator and reward for the team. We have had a step change in internal processes this year and our happy with our progress.”
Staffs Uni Racing would like to thank its growing portfolio of partners for their support this season and looks forward collaborating further during the upcoming season.
Oliver concluded “We were a full month ahead on our chassis production this year due to a mammoth effort from the team and its partners; so it’s a real shame we didn’t get to showcase that with a competitive car. The technical knowhow remains within the team through our revised knowledge transfer process, so I’m very excited to see the further progression throughout 2021.”
